A Discussion on Accessible Hiring and Work Experience at USAID
Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 12:30 – 2:00 PM EST
Virtual Meeting via BlueJeans
In recognition of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) invites you to our latest recruiting event!
Navigating the hiring process for positions in the U.S. Government can be quite daunting. The U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) is expanding our team, so join us to learn about the application process, accommodations, and Schedule A letters.
BHA leads and coordinates the U.S. Government’s disaster assistance efforts overseas and responds to an average of 75 disasters in more than 70 countries each year reaching populations affected by natural disasters, including hurricanes, earthquakes, and volcano eruptions, as well as man-made disasters, such as war and conflict. The work that we do is challenging, exciting, and saves lives.
BHA employs a wide variety of staff with diverse experiences, expertise, and educational backgrounds, who work both in the United States and overseas. Currently, we have over 100 vacancies we are seeking to fill. These positions range from entry to mid-level roles; some of the roles are in the humanitarian/disaster response, accounting, communications, and information technology sector.
During this program, our panelists will share information and experiences on how we are meeting the Biden administration’s mandate to increase accessibility in the federal government. Come and learn about career opportunities, and ways to apply for jobs at BHA.
