An accessible van is available for students who are participating in an approved University sponsored activity. The Academic Resource Center does not provide drivers for the vans; the responsibility lies with the organizer of the event to find a van certified driver. The driver must be certified to drive a van in accordance with the Office of Risk Management guidelines (http://riskmanagement.georgetown.edu/vehicle). If a student is participating in a University event that requires transportation to an off-campus site, contact the organizers of the event to alert them about the need for accommodated transportation.
If participating in an activity sponsored by the Center for Social Justice (CSJ), reserve the accessible van through CSJ's reservation process: http://csj.georgetown.edu/vans. If a student requires an accessible van during Safe Ride hours, contact GUPD: http://police.georgetown.edu/programs/saferides.
This van is not available to transport students with temporary injuries to their classes or doctors' appointments.
